A view from Starbucks at a certain rail station...
I hate London !
Far too many people and way too much vehicular movements make it top of my to avoid locations - and when it is hot it is just ridiculous to be expected to go do some work there too !?!
Not only that but to get there invariably means a most unpleasant experience on public transport, to whit the dirty, oft late, unkempt and tatty 'modern' railway... and don't even contemplate going anywhere underground unless you are in serious need of whiffs of rank body odour, stale nasties, ignorant and self-centred persons of all makes, colours and creeds or you are just plain nuts...
I would not mind never visiting the place ever again but, at least in this current incarnation of my life, that is unfortunately highly unlikely... :-(
Never mind... plenty of photo opportunities for those who have no wish, as do I, to finish business and hurry up the hell out of there.
However, on this occasion I just missed a connection and had a half hour to kill. So, with an overwhelming desire to get away from the millions of bodies on or near the platform... whoever thought that a Starbucks would ever offer peace, solitude and great coffeee...
It didn't do any of those of course... but I did get great views into the sunshine where the occasional and iconic London Double-Decker Bus caught my eye as it came out of the shadows on the left and into the strong sunlight in a blaze of fire engine red !
Taken with, processed in and sent from my iP4...
Yes busy cities suck :( I guess thats another silver lining to being housebound much of the time lol ;) Luckily for me though when i worked it was always in small towns or well off the beaten track. Fibro has made me even more unable to deal with vast numbers of people and traffic, so you have my sympathy.
